JOHN CIZIK February 6, 1922 - November 2, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of John Cizik with his family at his side. John is survived by his four children, Barry (Sharon), Larry (Janice), Linda (Doug) and Tony and; grandchildren, (Cristal and her mother Michelle), Billy, Michelle, Melissa, Reashelle, Rylee, (Janessa and Toni Dawn and their mother Candace); and two great-grandchildren, Josh and Kara; niece Debbie; and nephew Johnny and their families. John is also survived by many friends. John was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Josephine; his parents, Joseph and Minie Cizik; sister Kate; and brother Nick. John was a quiet man who loved his family and enjoyed a hard day's work. He spent a good part of his life in the thoroughbred industry raising, owning and training race horses from his farm in Lorette. After 50 years in the business and numerous winners at the racetrack, he received an award from his peers for his honesty, integrity and contributions to horse racing. At John's request, there will be no funeral service. The family would like to thank everyone for their condolences.
